What you will be doing in this role:

We’re starting a revolution - a global photography revolution. You'll become part of our Smiler family help lead this revolution!

You’ve probably seen or even experienced the “old school” way of venue photography: The green screens at the entrance with the printed pictures at the end (‘smile now, buy later’), or the dreaded selfie stick? It will be your mission to educate global venues, hotspots, brands and other partners on the ‘new school’.

What this means for you: You will be reaching out to a host of different venues, locations and brands - some of coolest places in the world - to show them how Smiler can help drive up additional revenue, increase social media exposure and generally create a better experience for their guests.

You’ll be given full training on the innovative technology that makes up the Smiler Brain and the photo distribution system in place, so you can excite some of the biggest tourist venues and hotspots around the world.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Build your market - you will help shape this business - find the accounts, prospect the leads, and set up introductory meetings for our team of superstar BDM's to close. 
  • Spread the word, educate the market and seize the adventure;
  • Attend conferences and city fairs (when covid is over!) to source more leads and meet more industry professionals. 
  • Adopt a ‘can-do’ attitude and bring previous experience to our dream team;
  • Prepare for mega-growth as we’re on a mission to revolutionize the world of venue photography;
  • Think ‘outside the box’ and look for new and innovative ways to implement photography at global locations and venues.

Job requirements

What you are able to bring to the table:

  • Your name is synonymous with “top performer” - high activity, high effort and most importantly, top results;
  • Ability to think on your feet and accept change as a constant;
  • Confident in outreach - both written, spoken and creative. Think of all the ways to contact someone by adding value at every step of the path in multiple different formats. 
  • Organisation is key. Timing in this game is crucial - if someone says: "not now, but reach out in 3 months" - you have your systems in place not to forget. 9am sharp, 3 months later, they'll be getting that call. 
  • Team player that lives by the motto: “Smiler > Team > Self”;
  • Adapt to true start-up life, get involved in group discussions, bring good ideas and more importantly: put those ideas into action;
  • The ability to work under pressure: All start-ups claim to be on a rocketship to the moon, but our fuel is different and we’re travelling at light speed.
  • Desire to grow. Talking about Smiler is easy, but we'll teach you the sales skills to really make an impact and progress to BDM.
