What you will be doing in this role
We’ll be growing one of the biggest, diverse and international photography communities in the world. This is an exciting and varied role where you get to meet a lot of people within different venues. As our Destination Manager you’ll be the main contact person for the venues and the mama/papa bear to our Smilers. Who are based within a variety of cities around the world. You’ll be in charge of our onboarding process with venues, activating photographers at their beautiful places around the world and you’ll be responsible for managing and increasing the performance from the venues. You’ll be building loyal relationships with marketing and sales directors of valuable museums, beach clubs, theme parks, zoo’s and other spectacular locations. Bottomline you are responsible for all activation and performance metrics of a (regional) part of our photographer base.

That means you won’t just be working together with our team of Destination Coordinators and Community Managers, being one Smiler team you’ll also get to work closely with our Business Development Team, Expansion Team and Training and Enablement Department.
Your key responsibilities
You’ll be the face of Smiler towards our venues. By welcoming them, building relationships and making sure performance of both the venue and the photographers are going well.
Smiler is a multi-sided marketplace with photographers and venues worldwide. After commercial teams have signed a new venue or other leisure location, you will be in charge of onboarding the client and start building the relationship.
You will manage the Destination Coordinators; they will be responsible for planning and managing available hotspots, scheduling in photographers, offering support via Intercom and reporting to venues regularly.
Being part of the city-rollout team to launch new cities all around the world.
It’s a numbers game! You’ll be analyzing photographer performance and keeping the Smiler team up-to-date on relevant performance data and our growth.
