About the role
Our new Digital Marketing Manager will take the lead in a broad range of our online marketing efforts and acquisition activities. As we are a multi-sided marketplace, this can be oversimplified as sourcing supply and demand – but the breadth and scope of what you will work on is far more nuanced than that. Your projects will extend across our owned and earned digital channels, coordinating end-to-end campaigns and consistency to acquire, convert, retain and grow our customer & supply bases.
Simply put, we’re looking for a marketing master of ones & zeroes who can land the right message, to the right people, in the right places.

This collective passion is often discussed, shared and researched online – which provides the perfect opportunity for you to reach them. Across cities, countries and continents, you will co-ordinate campaigns and content to convince and convert them into members of our community.
Until now, our customers have almost exclusively been acquired on the ground and in person. How we build awareness and approach our customers online is our unexplored frontier. A diverse demographic usually travelling from all over the world, many of our customers have never seen a product like Smiler before. To them, landing our proposition is just as much education as it is acquisition. That’s where you come in.
Sounds good so far? Here’s some of what you’ll do with us:
End-to-end ownership of digital campaigns to increase supply (photographer) acquisition and customer demand (photoshoot bookings) – from planning to creative coordination to measurement, reporting and optimisation.
Responsible for our SEM, remarketing & paid social activity across the digital spectrum, including Meta, Google & TikTok.
Managing performance marketing campaigns across half a dozen focus geographies and languages.
Configure and run recurring consumer campaigns via SMS and email to convert unpurchased photoshoots.
Work with the Product Team to plan and execute Conversion Rate Optimisation tests on e-commerce product pages.
Create and optimise landing pages for targeted photographer acquisition campaigns.
Work with our Supply organisation to devise and run reactivation campaigns via the CRM targeted at our dormant photographer base.
Identify and evaluate additional online reseller and distribution opportunities to list our products or contribute new traffic to our direct channel.
Run painted door campaigns to help identify consumer appetite for additional photoshoot locations and opportunities for geographic expansions.
Work with our Brand team on brand-building digital activity, including work with influencers, content partnerships with other brands and tactical targeted placements to increase awareness at events and physical locations.
Your experience that gets us excited:
You have at least 3 – 5 years in a related Digital Marketing role.
Strong experience working on multiple objectives, audiences and/or products simultaneously.
You love working with KPIs because if you’re showing great numbers then it’s technically not bragging.
Experience in e-commerce marketing or workforce sourcing will win you bonus points.
You mix the confidence to own your projects with the humility to contribute your skills as a resource to others when required.
Your well-rounded marketing skillset would make a Swiss Army Knife blush.
Advanced or native English speaker, so you can casually drop phrases like ‘truly prodigious conversion’ and ‘unfathomably exceptional return on investment’ with ease.
Your Bachelors or Masters degree in the marketing field is the foundation on which you have built your skills. The degree was also probably expensive so you’re keen to use it.
