We are currently seeking a dynamic individual who can combine their photography expertise with strong organizational skills to support our growing operations on the Big Island of Hawaii.

What You’ll Do:

Photographer Responsibilities:

  • Engage & Approach Guests: Actively connect with visitors at popular Big Island locations, offering fun, professional mini photoshoots that capture unforgettable moments.

  • Conduct Photoshoots: Provide guided, professional photography sessions, ensuring clients enjoy the experience and leave with stunning, high-quality photos.

  • Edit & Upload Photos: Edit and upload images using Adobe Lightroom (we’ll provide presets and training) to ensure efficient delivery to clients.

Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Photographer Oversight: Monitor and support other photographers during their shifts, ensuring smooth operations and excellent client experiences.

  • Schedule Management: Organize and manage schedules for Smiler photographers to ensure full coverage of tours and events.

  • Provide Assistance: Act as the first point of contact for photographers, resolving any on-the-job issues or challenges.

  • Shift Coverage: Step in as a photographer to cover a shift if needed, maintaining a high standard of service.

  • Tour Support: Be available during shoots and tours to provide immediate assistance when required.

Job requirements

Requirements:

  • People Skills: Extremely outgoing, friendly, and charismatic with strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Sales experience is a big plus!

  • Photography Skills: Owning a camera is required, with an eye for photography and the ability to capture beautiful moments.

  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable with tools like Adobe Lightroom, a smartphone with internet access, and a computer.

  • Flexibility: Available during weekends and able to respond to last-minute needs. Living on the Big Island or within easy commuting distance is essential.

  • Hustler Mentality: Ambitious and self-motivated, with a strong desire to succeed and make the most of uncapped commission opportunities.
