We are looking for a result-driven Smiler Team Leader to be responsible for monitoring and supervising your team of Smilers. You are a vital part to achieve the organization’s objectives and increase sales. Together with your City Captain you introduce and implement Smiler to your own city and venues.

You will be responsible for providing guidance, instruction, training, and leadership skills with a smile to inspire your own Smiler team to perform at the Champion level. You will create great teamwork that makes the Smiler dream a reality.

It’s a numbers game! To be successful as a Smiler Team Leader, you will motivate and engage your team to achieve great results. Ultimately, a top-notch Smiler Team Leader should know how to make everybody shine brightest, get out of their comfort zone and keep on smiling. You have - excellent interpersonal skills to build quality relationships with the team and with customers, be goal-driven, and manage the day-to-day activities of the team efficiently.

Team Leader Responsibilities:

  • Be organized; managing the day-to-day activities of your dream team. This means:

    • Making sure they’re aware of their shifts, responsibilities, and KPIs

    • Finding new ways to achieve greatness. If something isn’t working, take a different approach - you’re the local expert. We know that Smiler works in a range of different countries and locations, but you’re our geo expert for a reason!

  • Be the biggest cheerleader on your team: motivating the team to achieve goals. Specific targets will be given to each opportunity.

  • Be supportive: Conducting training of team members to maximize their potential.

  • Teach them how to “fish” or Be an inspiration: Empower your dream team members with skills to improve their confidence, product knowledge, and communication skills.

  • Be visible; Conducting quarterly performance reviews.

  • Think big; Contributing to the growth of the company through a successful team.

  • Be a safe haven; Creating a pleasant working environment that inspires the team.

  • Smiler Mindset: Have a can-do attitude, and look for opportunities and solutions outside the box. Nothing can stop you!

And what else;
  • You’ll be available for approx 16 - 32 hours a week spread across weekdays and weekends. Weekend availability is a must. 

  • You’ll be organizing bi-weekly photography afternoons where you welcome new photographers to your city, show them how to use the Smiler platform and how to become a profitable Smiler Photographer.

  • You’ll lead groups of Smilers on weekdays and weekends at both hotspots and venues. You’ll be taking photos alongside the Smilers and ensuring that they reach their targets. You’ll also be their contact person on shoot days.

  • You’ll be our eyes and ears on the ground. We’ll expect you to manage on-the-spot operations, report back to us, and generally, be available to test things out /answer questions. You’ll also be responsible for on-the-ground operations for our OTA partnerships ie. presold photoshoots.

  • You’ll start off by taking 5 Smiler photographers under your wing with the potential to increase this to 10 Smiler photographers.

Job requirements

  • You live close to a big city (London, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham)

  • You speak fluent English

  • Love to smile & learn

  • High School Diploma or similar

  • Minimum of 2 years’ photography work experience

  • Able to train on the job

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Confidence and photography skills

  • Computer literate for the uploading process and performance tracking

  • Strong organizational skills to give the team direction
