We’re searching for a real leader who can encourage, coach and guide our amazing guest experience team!

This creative, energetic and outgoing group are responsible for making sure guests have an unforgettable day visiting Flamingo Land. With a focus on photography, this varied team of aspiring amateurs and photo pros spend their day shooting portraits of guests and capturing their day in gorgeous high-quality.

In this crucial role, you won’t simply be supervising this team – you are responsible for providing guidance, instruction, training, and motivation to make sure they have everything they need to succeed.

This is undoubtedly a results driven role but we are looking for someone who understands that teams perform at their best when they are well supported, confident and having fun!

Team Leader Responsibilities:

• Be the biggest cheerleader on your team: motivating the team to achieve goals.

• Be supportive: Conducting training of team members to maximise their potential.

• Be an inspiration: Empower your dream team members with skills to improve their confidence, product knowledge, and communication skills.

• Be organised: managing the day-to-day activities of your dream team, and making sure they’re aware of their shifts, responsibilities, and KPIs

• Be visible: Conducting quarterly performance reviews.

• Think big: Contributing to the growth of the company through a successful team.

• Be a safe haven: Creating a pleasant working environment that inspires the team.

• Positive Mindset: Have a can-do attitude, and look for opportunities and solutions outside the box. Nothing can stop you!

• Finding new ways to achieve greatness: if something isn’t working, take a different approach - you’re the local expert. We know that Smiler works in a range of different countries and locations, but you’re our local expert for a reason!

And what else;

• You’ll be available for approx 24 - 40 hours a week spread across weekdays and weekends. Weekend availability is a must.

• You’ll be taking photos alongside your team and ensuring that they reach their targets. You’ll also be their contact person on shoot days.

• You’ll be our eyes and ears on the ground. You’ll manage on-the-spot operations, report back to HQ, and generally, be available to test things out /answer questions. You’ll also be responsible for on-the-ground operations for photoshoots pre-sold through online ticketing portals

• You live within commuting distance of Flamingo Land

• You speak fluent English

• Love to smile & learn

• High School Diploma or similar

• Minimum of 2 years’ photography work or commercial experience

• Able to train on the job

• Excellent communication skills

• Confidence and (amateur) photography skills

• Computer literate for the uploading process and performance tracking

• Strong organisational skills to give the team direction
